Creating a unified brand identity for Deutsche Bank’s fintech marketplace.
PROBLEM

Deutsche Bank required a cohesive brand identity for their fintech marketplace; Synthix, to establish a consistent visual foundation for all future products. The challenge involved creating a unified design system, including idents, color palettes, logos and CSS stylesheets, applicable across various products. Additionally, Frontier being the existing product; needed a re-skin to align with the new Synthix branding and was only available as a desktop version in night mode.
DESIGN PROCESS

I developed the Synthix brand identity using a colour palette inspired by a photo of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, and based the design system on Material Design 3 (MD3). Adopting a mobile first approach, I collaborated with stakeholders and offshore development teams in India, I worked within two-week sprints to integrate key UX features. This involved coordinating with 48 developers across three teams to implement designs for responsive layouts.
OUTCOME

The re-skinned Frontier 2.0 is set to launch, showcasing the successful application of the Synthix brand identity. The concept branding for Synthix and its implementation in products like Frontier and the upcoming Pioneer highlight my contributions to Deutsche Bank. The designs were created using Figma, Creative Suite, and Zeplin, establishing a lasting legacy in the fintech marketplace.
